Joint Congress on Global Health 2024
November 16–17, 2024 (Itoman, Okinawa, Japan)
We participated in the Joint Congress on Global Health 2024 and hosted the workshop "Unite Global Youth: Collaborative Approaches to Neglected Tropical Diseases." With around 60 participants, the workshop featured a case study on Chagas disease treatment and an inspiring lecture by Dr. Kota Yoshioka, leading to dynamic discussions.
NNN Conference 2024
October 1–3, 2024 (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)
Our representative, Yuya Kondo participated in the "NNN Conference 2024" held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As a Youth organization, he showcased our activities, receiving enthusiastic support from many attendees for our Youth-led initiatives. Additionally, we formed new networks with other Youth organizations.
CTM2024 - Conference on Tropical Medicine and Global Health
September 19th - September 21st, 2024 (Heinrich Heine Universität Düsseldorf)
From September 19th to 21st, 2024, our representatives, Yuzuki Muso and Yuuka Uesugi, participated in the "CTM2024 - Conference on Tropical Medicine and Public Health" held in Düsseldorf, Germany. On September 21, Yuzuki and Mirna Abd El Aziz (from DTG (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Tropenmedizin, Reisemedizin und Globale Gesundheit e.V.) ) gave a presentation on the theme "Why Youth Should Be Involved in NTDs," introducing the activities of NTDs-related organizations from various countries.

Visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic
March 20 - March 27 (Vientiane, Savannakhet, Sekong Province)
Committee members Muso, Kondo, and Takaizumi visited the Lao People's Democratic Republic. They visited educational institutions, research institutes, government ministries, and JICA maternal and child health project sites. Through the visits, they deepened their understanding of the current status of NTDs and health initiatives from various perspectives. We are advancing collaboration with organizations in the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
World NTD Day Webinar

As the organizer of the World NTD Day Japan Executive Committee, we planned and hosted the World NTD Day Webinar.
We received video messages from Mr. Ueno (Chairman of the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association), Mr. Kunii (CEO of GHIT Fund), and Mr. Iya (Director of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare).

The 1st Neglected Tropical Diseases Student Contest

As the organizer of the World NTD Day Japan Executive Committee, NTDs Youth Organization hosted the first Neglected Tropical Diseases Student Contest.
35 teams (79 applicants) participated in the contest, and the winners were selected through a final selection process held at the Yamagami Kaikan, University of Tokyo. For details, please see the Contest Report.
